Schenker’s new logistics powerhouse with BAX Global in Australia & New Zealand

As of 1 August 2007, completion of the newly combined Schenker organisation marks a unique milestone for Schenker in Asia-Pacific

(Sydney 01/08/07) Schenker and BAX Global are a part of DB Logistics, the Transportation and Logistics Division of Deutsche Bahn AG. Both companies have joined forces to become one of the industry's leading logistics providers in Australia and New Zealand.

The new Schenker will offer an enhanced range of services, complete in land operations, international air and ocean freight forwarding, and all related integrated logistics services. Both Schenker and BAX companies have been active in the Australian and New Zealand market for over 45 years. Schenker’s established portfolio of customers are offered services in air, ocean and land transportation, as well as integrated logistics and supply chain management, customs clearances, IT solutions, projects, fairs/events and wine transportation.

Schenker Australia was established in 1962 in Sydney. Today, Schenker Australia provides a complete range of international air, ocean and land transportation, together with integrated logistics services. Schenker comprises over 1,100 people in 36 locations in Australia, and seven in New Zealand.
