Schenker is the official logistics partner for the ISAF World Sailing Games 2006

One of the largest sailing events in the world, the World Sailing Games, will take place from 10 to 20 May 2006 for the first time on an inland lake, the Neusiedler See.
Some 900 sailors from 70 countries will compete for the title of world champion in Rust, Breitenbrunn, Neusiedl/See, Weiden/See and Podersdorf.

As with all major sporting events, logistic organisation is vital to the smooth running of the competitions. The ISAF World Sailing Games 2006 is relying on the know-how of SCHENKERglobalsportsevents and has appointed Schenker as its official logistics partner.
Schenker will offer a full-service logistics programme including the transfer of boats and equipment from Europe and other countries to the competition venues, local handling and return of the equipment.
The company has a wealth of experience of sailing events and has also handled the 2005 European Sailing Championship in Vallensbaek, Denmark, and the 2005-2006 Volvo Ocean Race.
