Schenker, Squashing Logistical Challenges!

Item Entered: Wednesday, July 06, 2005

This year’s Canadian Squash Championships was a huge success, thanks in part to Schenker. The event took place at the CBC Toronto building on May 4-7. Moving the squash court to and from the venue proved a challenge, but Schenker proved up to it.

This was no ordinary court. If you’re a squash player you’ll know that there isn’t much room for a viewing audience in a traditional squash court. The solution: glass. A specially designed, mobile court was brought in to accommodate a large viewing audience. The court had one-way glass that allowed spectators to see the action, while ensuring that the competitors couldn’t see them.

To bring this piece to the site, Schenker USA and Schenker Canada teamed up. USA arranged for the trucking, and Schenker Canada the customs clearance. Thanks to Schenker, the event went off without a hitch.
