DB Schenker in Canada Launches Holiday Charity Drive

Campaign will collect toys and clothing for Canadians struggling through the recession.

(Toronto, October 7, 2009) Schenker of Canada Limited one of the country’s leading logistics service providers, is reaching out to its employees, suppliers, partners and the transportation industry at large to help raise the spirits of those less fortunate this Holiday Season. From November 2 to December 18, 2009, the company is asking for donations of new, unwrapped toys for children (newborn to 16 years of age) and new or gently used clothing for both children and parents to be dropped off at one of Schenker Canada’s 40-plus offices across the country. Organizers are asking donors not to forget those children aged 10 to 16 who are often overlooked in favor of younger kids. After December 18, items collected will be delivered to local charitable organizations in each community.
